About Me

The man behind Top Grade Video is Phil Green

Allthough working as a Mobile DJ, Phil has been doing videos from the early days around 1993 under the name 'Phil Green Video' mostly Weddings and Night Time Parties, over the years events have expanded and now I cover all types of video, dvd Blu-ray production. Since then I have been doing less DJ work and more on the video side.

The style of production I do is something like you would see on the television, and as a cameraman and editor that is what I aim for.

All my cameras are HD and by SONY and the same type of which the BBC use for their small docs and news gathering, Sony Mini HDV.

For Weddings and other live event shows I can use up to 4 cameras, I am mentioning this since people often ask when inquiring about Weddings, Do you use 2 Cameras, yes of course by default on a Wedding Ceremony I will use 2 Cameras for the actual ceremony and speeches optional, of course there is always the option of adding more if desired. One thing to remember that one should always insure permission from the vicar, priest of minster for any filming and setting up of equipment on the day.

I can work in either SD or HD, but at the moment this option is not so popular, but will be as more and more get a Blu-ray Player.

All post production work is done with Adobe CS3 Premimum Collection, including working in Photoshop, Premiere and Encore.

DVD and Blu-ray mastering are unique to each client, including custom music and DVD Menus with Chapter Stops.

I know that some vidoeographers don't bother too much about the DVD Menus or Chapters bit but for me it adds to the over presentation of the final product.

The DVD case and DVD Disc are also custom printed with artwork made from various video stills through photoshop.
